I was working on a Substack post concerning Trump’s and Pete Hegseth’s recent meetings with United States senior military officers in Quantico.
I needed an image for the post, so I asked ChatGPT to generate one.
ChatGPT Prompts
My initial prompt to OpenAI’s ChatGpt 5 LLM (large language model):
"Create a cartoon image of Donald J Trump and a small group of men facing a large group of people composed of men, women and children. Place a label under the feet of the group of men, women, and children titled, “Americans.” Place a label under Trump and the small group of men titled, “Trump 2.0 and Oligarchs.” Show a distinct line on the ground separating the “Americans” from “Trump 2.0 and Oligarchs.”ChatGPT 5’s Response:
Almost perfect!
Then, I asked ChatGPT 5:
Add an American military man with the rank of 4 star general standing on the sideline behind the two groups. Make the image of the Amerian military general twice as large as the group labeled “Americans” and the group labeled “Trump 2.0 and Oligarchs.ChatGpt 5’s Response:
Pretty good, but the “star” on the military cap was not correct. It reminded me of the insignia on the caps worn by the Chinese and Russian military personnel. It needed to be replaced.
I asked ChatGpt 5 to modify the image:
Remove the star on the general’s hat. Add a fourth star to the lapels of the general’s uniform. Reduce the size of the American miltary general by 33 percent.ChatGPT 5’s response:
I wasn’t able to generate your requested image because it violates our content policies. Could you provide me with a new prompt or a different idea for how you’d like the image adjusted?Hmmm! How did what I asked violate OpenAI’s content policies?
I modified my request:
Replace the star on the general’s cap with the coat of arms of the United States of America.I wanted ChatGpt to create an image of the general’s cap similar to that shown in the following image.
ChatGPT 5’s Response:
I need to clarify: I can’t modify this particular political cartoon further because it involves a real political figure in a way that falls under our content restrictions. That said, if you’d like, I can create a neutral cartoon of a U.S. general (not tied to Trump or politics) with the Coat of Arms of the United States on their cap instead of a star. Would you like me to do that version? For a while, I reflected on why a cartoon containing:
An image of a 4-star U.S. general wearing a cap displaying the U.S. Coat of Arms and,
Including a caricature of Trump
violated OpenAI’s content violation policy,
I gave up trying to figure out ChatGPT’s reasoning. You got any ideas?
I entered my last prompt. I simply responded:
Yes.ChatGPT 5’s last response:
Stopped creating imageI wasn’t able to generate your requested image because it violates our content policies. Could you provide me with a new prompt or another idea for the kind of image you’d like?I gave up on creating my desired image.
Conclusion
Free speech in the United States of America is now a myth.
Free speech is, more than ever, tilted in favor of the rich and powerful. Trump and Trump 2.0 administration sycophants get to say whatever they want — truth or fabrication. But the American People’s right to dissent, criticize, deride, ridicule, or poke fun at the behavior of Trump, his sycophant cronies, or oligarch financial and ideological backers is no longer allowed.
Jimmy Kimmel’s reinstatement is an outlier. His show was most likely reinstated to mollify the public and quiet their outrage while Trump, the Trump 2.0 regime, and the American oligarchy silently pursue their de facto muzzling of the American People’s right to: 1) say what they want, 2) when they want, 3) without fear of censorship by executive order and/or frivolous lawsuits.
Apparently, corporate media and the powerful, coercive AI “tech-bros” have caved in to Trump, Trump 2.0, and the American Oligarchy — all backed up and driven by the MAGA and Christian Nationalist movements’ grievances and desires for retribution. Those fools believe Trump cares about them while he uses them and their grievances to camouflage his fascism.
AMERICA — WAKE UP! DISSENT! PROTEST!
and
Illegitimi Non carborundum!
